PRA Annual General Meeting- 10th of June 2006- Paradise Lagoons

5th June 2006

Property Rights Australia is to hold its Annual Conference and AGM on Saturday 10th June 2006 commencing at 9am. The venue is the Acton Family’s picturesque working beef and horse property “Paradise Lagoons” on the outskirts of Rockhampton.

Property Rights Australia is proudly independent of Government and acts strongly to protect and restore lost rights of property owners in rural and semi0rural areas. In particular, PRA opposes the Queensland Government’s Vegetation Management Act 1999, Water Act 2000 and Wild Rivers legislation.

Guest speakers include:

  • Hon Lawrence Springborg- Leader of the Queensland Opposition.
  • Mr Michael Thompson- Canberra reported for Rural Press; and
  • Mr Rodney Bell, Partner- McCullough Robertson.

A panel session of PRA members and representatives will be held mid afternoon.

PRA would appreciate media- both rural and urban, attending our conference. We consider rural landholders are severely disadvantaged by the Vegetation, Water and Wild Rivers Acts. In particular, PRA is shocked with the aggressive and antagonistic manner of some Departmental Compliance field staff.

Your attendance and support is important to Property Rights Australia.
