Dear Member,
NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING
Please be advised PRA is to hold two important meetings focusing on the outlandish and dishonest moratorium on the clearing of endangered regrowth declared by Premier Bligh on 8 April 2009 from 12:01 a.m.
The details of the meetings are listed below:
· Dalby –Saturday, 30th May 2009, 2 – 5 p.m. at the DALBY RSL CLUB 69 Drayton Street,
· Miles—Sunday, 31st May 2009, 9 – 12 noon. at the MILES MEMORIAL CLUB, Cnr. Marian & Dawson St.
I ask all members in a reasonable travelling distance to attend. A strong response will send a strong message to Bligh and her friends—a poor attendance will be considered by Bligh as ‘she wins.’
Please forward copies to your friends and neighbours, ask them to attend and stand up for their rights. Speakers will include PRA Barrister, Phillip Sheridan, who has overseen the very successful series of wins in the courts.
John Purcell, PRA Chairman, will speak also. Be assured there will be plenty of time set aside for attendees to ask questions or make their views known. This is an open meeting, certainly not just a PRA members’ show.
Other Matters
PRA has a site in the Walter Reid Pavilion at the Rockhampton Show commencing on the 2nd of June and concluding on the 4th of June. Please drop by and see us.
It is important that all Queensland districts which would like to hold a meeting have the right to do so and have their say. PRA will do our best to attend. As from 1st June I will be able to travel freely.
In closing, I cannot over-emphasise the importance of a very strong showing of landholders’ anger and disgust. This time Bligh and those behind her have gone too far. If these people can dish it out we must show we can chuck it right back.
Remember, you are defending your families, properties, your homes and your future if this rot does not stop.
Best wishes,
John Purcell
